Should I choose a water-based or oil-based moisturizer?

Short answer: It depends on your skin type.

Detailed answer

If you have oily or acne-prone skin, a water-based moisturizer would be more suitable as it is lighter and less likely to clog your pores. Water-based moisturizers are also ideal for humid climates as they provide hydration without adding excess oil. On the other hand, if you have dry or mature skin, an oil-based moisturizer will provide more nourishment and help restore the skin's barrier. Oil-based moisturizers work well in colder, drier climates as they create a protective layer, locking in moisture and preventing water loss from the skin. Ultimately, choose a moisturizer based on your individual skin needs and preferences.
